Richard Astre (dit Le Roi, Le Roi Richard, ou Le Petit Mozart du rugby) est un joueur de Rugby à XV, né le 28 août 1948 à Toulouse, de 1 m 71 pour 68 kg. Il eut deux filles d'une première union: Virginie et Caroline, puis deux autres d'une seconde Charlotte et Anne-Sophie.

Fils du joueur du Stade toulousain René Astre, Richard commence le rugby alors qu'il n'avait que 5 ans. Très vite remarqué pour son talent, il se fait recruter par les Biterrois de Pierre Danos au TOEC de la « Ville Rose » en 1967 (en compagnie d'un certain Jack Cantoni).
