Guy Roux est un joueur puis entraîneur de football français, né le 18 octobre 1938 à Colmar.

Après une modeste carrière de joueur amateur à Poitiers et Limoges, il devient entraîneur-joueur à l'AJ Auxerre à l'âge de 23 ans en 1961. C'est le début de sa longue carrière d'entraîneur au sein du club auxerrois jusqu'en 2005, carrière tout juste entrecoupée par son service militaire et par un passage à la direction sportive du club en 2000-2001.
