Jon Vickers (Jonathan Stewart), né le 29 octobre 1926 à Prince Albert en Saskatchewan, et décédé le 10 juillet 2015 à Toronto, était un ténor canadien. Après une formation musicale à Toronto, il débute à Londres en 1956 et à Bayreuth en 1958. Il fut le ténor héroïque le plus demandé des années 1960. Une voix particulièrement puissante et aux nuances semble-t-il infinies, ainsi qu'un physique massif et carré firent de lui un spécialiste des rôles les plus lourds du répertoire : Siegmund, Tristan, Otello (Verdi), Énée, Samson. C'était aussi un Florestan, un Peter Grimes et un Parsifal réputé....
