Alexis Weissenberg, né le 26 juillet 1929 à Sofia et mort le 8 janvier 2012 à Lugano, est un pianiste français d’origine bulgare. Alexis Weissenberg naît dans une famille juive à Sofia en 1929. Il débute le piano à l’âge de trois ans avec Pancho Vladiguerov. À huit ans, il donne son premier concert et débute une carrière en Turquie, en Égypte, en Palestine et en Afrique du Sud. En 1946 il travaille à New York à la Julliard School avec Olga Samaroff. Il fréquente également Artur Schnabel et Wanda Landowska.
