Double champion d'Europe (2006, 2010) et médaillé d'argent mondial en 2007 sur 50 kilomètres, il est depuis le 12 mars 2011, recordman du monde de la distance sur piste avec un temps de 3 h 35 min 27 s.

Il mesure 1,85 m pour 66 kg et est affilié au club EFSRA (Entente Family Stade de Reims Athlétisme) de Reims.

Il n'est pas retenu pour participer aux Jeux olympiques d’Athènes en 2004 et est disqualifié lors des Championnats du monde 2005 d'Helsinki après 20 kilomètres de course po...
