Ricardo Alberto Silveira Carvalho, dit Ricardo Carvalho, (né le 18 mai 1978 à Amarante, Portugal) est un footballeur portugais qui joue en tant que défenseur central pour la sélection portugaise et, depuis 2010, pour le Real Madrid.

Carvalho est né à Amarante en 1978 et débute le football dans l'équipe locale du Amarante FC. Ses performances attirent rapidement l'œil des recruteurs du plus importants club portugais, le FC Porto, qui décide de l'intégrer dans son équipe de jeunes en 1996.

Il fait ses débuts professionnels avec Leça où il a été prêté. Entre 1999 et 2001, il sera également José Mourinho...
