Nâzım Hikmet Ran né le 21 novembre 1901 à Salonique, et mort le 3 juin 1963 à Moscou, est un poète turc, puis citoyen polonais, longtemps exilé à l'étranger pour avoir été membre du parti communiste turc. Son grand-père paternel, Mehmed Nâzım Pasha, était le gouverneur de Salonique, libéral et poète. Son père, Hikmet, diplômé du lycée de Galatasaray (qui s'appelait alors Mekteb-i Sultani) était fonctionnaire.
