Harry Harrison (né Henry Maxwell Dempsey le 12 mars 1925 et mort le 15 août 2012) est un écrivain américain de science-fiction surtout connu pour son personnage romanesque Ratinox (the Stainless Steel Rat) et son roman Soleil vert (1966) dont l'intrigue servit de base au scénario du film Soleil vert (Soylent Green) de Richard Fleischer en 1973. Né à Stamford, dans le Connecticut, Harrison a servi comme artilleur et instructeur d'artillerie dans l'armée des États-Unis durant la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Il vécut ensuite dans de nombreux pays étrangers, notamment le Mexique, l'Angleterre, l'Ir...
