Samir Nasri naît dans le quartier de la Gavotte Peyret de Marseille. Dans son quartier, très jeune, il commence à jouer au football. Sollicité par son entourage pour aller jouer en club, ses parents décidèrent de lui faire signer sa première licence au sein du club des Pennes Mirabeau à l'âge de 8 ans.
