Rod Temperton (Rodney Llyn Temperton son nom en entier) est un auteur-compositeur et musicien anglais, né à Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire en Angleterre le 15 octobre 1947 et mort le 5 octobre 2016 à Londres. Il est connu pour avoir composé "Thriller", l'un des plus célèbre tube de Michael Jackson. Il a fait partie du groupe funk/disco Heatwave. Il a été nommé aux Oscars pour la bande son du film La Couleur pourpre.
