Robert Downey Jr., né le 4 avril 1965 dans le quartier de Greenwich Village à New York, est un acteur américain.

En 1970, il joue dans un film de son père Robert Downey Sr. (qui est producteur indépendant) alors qu'il n'a encore que 5 ans. Son père est d'origine irlandaise et juive et sa mère est d'origine allemande et écossaise. Son père est né « Robert Elias », mais a changé son nom quand il était mineur et voulut s'enrôler dans l'armée. Les occupations de Downey Sr. obligent la famille à déménager souvent et Downey Jr. a souvent du mal à s'adapter à différentes écoles. Quelque temps aprè...
