D'origine argentine, Máxima Zorreguieta, après son mariage connue comme Princesse Máxima des Pays-Bas, née le 17 mai 1971 à Buenos Aires (Argentine), a épousé le 2 février 2002 le prince héritier Willem-Alexander des Pays-Bas à la Nieuwe Kerk d'Amsterdam. Malgré les critiques relatives au passé familial de la jeune femme, la princesse Máxima est devenue très populaire dans son pays d'adoption grâce à sa bonne connaissance du néerlandais, son grand sens du contact, son élégance et son intérêt pour le domaine social.
