Bhumibol Adulyadej, né le 5 décembre 1927 et mort le 13 octobre 2016, couronné en 1950 sous le nom dynastique de Rama IX, est roi de Thaïlande de 1946 à 2016. Souverain constitutionnel, il est le chef de l'État et protecteur des religions de Thaïlande. À sa mort, il était le plus ancien chef d'État en exercice, étant resté sur le trône pendant 70 ans 4 mois et 4 jours.
