Matthew Page Damon dit Matt Damon, né le 8 octobre 1970, à Cambridge Massachusetts aux États-Unis, est un acteur et scénariste américain.

Ses parents divorcent alors qu’il a deux ans. Il grandit ensuite à Boston élevé avec son frère Kyle, par sa mère enseignante et spécialiste en éducation de l’enfant; son père est un fiscaliste. Adolescent, il suit des cours de théâtre et, après des études littéraires à Harvard, Matt Damon se produit sur les planches, où il connaît son premier succès dans la pièce The Speed of Darkness, de Steve Tesich.
