James Patrick Donleavy, né le 23 avril 1926 à New York et mort le 11 septembre 2017 à Mullingar en Irlande, est un écrivain irlando-américain. Il est connu pour son roman « L’Homme de gingembre » (1955) jugé obscène et brûlé en Irlande mais qui l'avait rendu riche et célèbre. JP Donleavy est mort le lundi 11 septembre 2017 à l'âge de 91 ans d'un AVC à Mullingar (à 80 km de Dublin, Irlande)....
