Don Cheadle est un acteur et producteur de cinéma américain, né le 29 novembre 1964 à Kansas City, Missouri (États-Unis).

Diplômé en art à l'Université de Denver, Don Cheadle passe de nombreuses auditions qui aboutiront en 1986 à une participation à la série télévisée Fame. Après une apparition dans Les Zéros de conduite (en) (Moving Violations), sa carrière sur grand écran décolle en 1987 grâce à John Irvin, qui lui confie le rôle du soldat Washburn dans Hamburger Hill, puis à Dennis Hopper qui l'engage sur le tournage de Colors en 1988.
