Rubin Carter, surnommé Hurricane, est un boxeur américain poids moyens né le 6 mai 1937 à Clifton, New Jersey et mort le 20 avril 2014 à Toronto.(Source Radio-Canada et RDI). Il est notamment connu pour ses condamnations controversées en 1967 et 1976 pour 3 meurtres perpétrés en juin 1966 à Paterson (New Jersey), et pour sa libération de prison en 1985, survenue après la cassation de la condamnation en appel.
