Peter Roman Scholl-Latour, né le 9 mars 1924 à Bochum, mort le 16 août 2014 à Rhöndorf, est un journaliste et essayiste franco-allemand. Peter Scholl-Latour est le fils du médecin Otto Scholl-Latour, qui naquit en Sarre et grandit en Lorraine. Otto Scholl-Latour et son épouse, une Alsacienne, s'installèrent à Bochum après la Première Guerre mondiale. Suite à la prise du pouvoir par les nazis, comme ils étaient d'origine juive, ils envoyèrent leur fils au collège Saint-Michel à Fribourg, en Suisse, où il resta jusqu'en 1940.
