D'origine arménienne par son père, Mathieu Madénian a grandi à Saleilles, un village aisé de la banlieue de Perpignan, où il obtient son bac scientifique mention très bien, puis un diplôme universitaire (DU) en criminologie avec les félicitations du jury. À 25 ans, après être devenu avocat, il quitte son métier pour se tourner vers la comédie.
Il décroche son premier rôle dans la série Un gars, une fille où il joue diverses voix off. Ensuite, il écrit plusieurs one-man shows mis en scè...
