Isaac Hayes (Covington, Tennessee, États-Unis, 20 août 1942 (1942-08-20) — Memphis, Tennessee, 10 août 2008 ) était un chanteur et compositeur de soul, ainsi qu'un acteur américain. Les parents d’Isaac sont morts durant sa tendre enfance, ses grands parents l’ont élevé. Il a commencé à chanter à 5 ans et appris tout seul à jouer du piano de l’orgue et du saxophone. Il a déménagé à Memphis pour pouvoir jouer dans le circuit des clubs de la ville.
