David Foenkinos, né le 28 octobre 1974 à Paris, est un romancier français.

Il étudie les lettres à la Sorbonne, tout en se formant au jazz, ce qui l'amène au métier de professeur de guitare. Son premier roman est publié en 2002 chez Gallimard. Ses romans sont traduits à l'étranger, dans trente-cinq langues.

Selon Le Figaro, il fait partie des cinq plus gros vendeurs de romans en 2011.
