Claude Iverné débute sa carrière comme photographe de mode, chez Pierre Cardin de 1985 à 1988, puis, il quitte les facilités de la maison de couture pour rencontrer des photographes phares de la publicité et de la mode, et approfondir ses connaissances. Il est vite embauché au studio Pin-up de 1988 à 1992. Il prend ensuite ses distances avec le milieu de la mode pour se consacrer à des projets de fonds, portrait, photoreportage puis document.
