Wayne Carson (né le 31 mai 1943 et mort le 20 juillet 2015), était un musicien de musique country, compositeur et producteur de disques américain. Il a joué des percussions, piano, guitare et basse. Ses chansons les plus célèbres en tant que compositeur sont "Neon Rainbow", "The Letter", "Always on My Mind" (écrite avec Mark James et Johnny Christopher et chantée par Elvis Presley) et "Soul Deep". Carson est mort le 20 juillet 2015 à l'âge de 72 ans après avoir souffert de diverses affections dont un insuffisance cardiaque congestive....
