Syd Barrett, de son vrai nom Roger Keith Barrett, né le 6 janvier 1946 à Cambridge et mort le 7 juillet 2006 à Cambridge était un musicien et peintre anglais. Il a formé avec Richard Wright, Nicolas Mason et d'autres copains, un groupe du nom de The Archi-tectural Abdads, ensuite The Tea Set et Sigma 6. Puis avec Roger Waters, Richard Wright (dit Rick Wright) et Nicolas Mason (dit Nick Mason) il créa le groupe anglais Pink Floyd en 1965 après des études aux Beaux-Arts.
