Robert Taylor, de son vrai nom Spangler Arlington Brugh, est un acteur américain né le 5 août 1911 à Filley (Nebraska) et décédé le 8 juin 1969 à Santa Monica, Californie. Il est surtout connu pour ses rôles dans Quo Vadis et dans Traquenard de Nicholas Ray. Il fit ses débuts au cinéma en 1934. Son élégance naturelle, sa chevelure sombre et ses yeux bleus firent immédiatement de lui un boureau des cœurs. Il fut surnommé l'homme au profil parfait.
