John Cusack est un acteur, producteur, scénariste et chanteur américain, né le 28 juin 1966 à Evanston, près de Chicago dans l'Illinois (États-Unis).

John Paul Cusack est né à Evanston dans l'Illinois aux États-Unis, dans une famille catholique irlandaise. Son père, Richard (Dick) Cusack (1925–2003) était aussi un acteur et réalisateur de documentaires et possédait sa propre société de production. Il était également l'ami de l'activiste Philip Berrigan. Sa mère Nancy (née Carolan), est un ancien professeur de mathématiques et activiste politique.
