Benjamin Castaldi est né le 28 mars 1970 à Boulogne-Billancourt. Fils de l'acteur Jean-Pierre Castaldi et de la comédienne Catherine Allégret (fille de la célèbre actrice Simone Signoret et du cinéaste Yves Allégret et fille adoptive d'Yves Montand). Depuis tout petit, il veut devenir lui aussi une star du show business comme son grand père adoptif Yves Montand dont il est très proche, sa grand mère Simone Signoret et comme ses parents.
