Albert Zafy, né le 1er mai 1927 à Ambilobe (Province de Diego-Suarez) et mort le 13 octobre 2017 à Saint-Pierre (La Réunion), est un médecin et homme d'État malgache. Principal leader de l'opposition à la fin de la IIe République, il est président de la République de 1993 à 1996. Surnommé "l'homme au chapeau de paille", cet ardent partisan de la réconciliation nationale participe actuellement aux travaux des Mouvances politiques malgaches reconnues par la communauté internationale pour trouver une sortie de crise neutre et consensuelle au putsch effectué par Andry Rajoelina en mars 2009.
