Alain Bouzigues commence sa carrière professionnelle dans Le Chevalier à la charrette de Franz Bartelt. Il crée en 1991 sa propre compagnie, Les Zactants, avec laquelle naîtront trois spectacles à Paris : L'Ascenseur de Gérard Levoyer au théâtre du Berry-Zèbre ; Veillée funèbre de Guy Foissy au théâtre de Nesle et Café Noir ? …Improvisé ! au théâtre Clavel.
